Acid Casualties started at a time when the trance scene was going through a lot of changes. The sound was dated and a lot of DJ's were looking at techno, house and drum n' bass for inspiration. Melodies and hysteric effects were being swapped for a bass driven, more minimal and stripped down sound. As a result, Acid Casualties was set up to cater for the new sound that was being labelled as "progressive trance".

Today, a few years down the line, a lot of the artists that had their first or early releases are not only well known, but they also have had a row of single and album releases on various labels. Since the sound is now established, and there are heaps of records of shifting quality being released, we feel that it is time to move on in order to keep evolving.

This compilation reflects the first chapter of the label as we now focus our efforts on the search of new "progressive" sounds. In order to represent this new direction, the name of the label has been changed to ACDC.

Acid Casualties does not exist anymore! Look out for a row of high voltage house releases on ACDC in the future.
